By default, inmydata copilot does not have access to any of your subjects or their data. Until access is explicitly granted, users will see the following message:
To enable copilot access to specific subjects, you must be an administrator with permission to use the Edit Subjects menu.
How to Grant Access
- Go to the Settings menu and select Edit Subjects.
- Choose the subject you want to configure and click Edit.
- Open the AI tab and enable the option "Allow this subject to be accessed by inmydata copilot"
Important Notes
Granting access to copilot enables it to interact with the subject and its data—but only within the limits of the logged-in user’s permissions.
This means that even if copilot has access to a subject, users without appropriate data access will still see the restricted access message.
